Our client is a prestigious, well established house based in the cradle of Champagne. Enjoying strong growth and continuous improvement worldwide, they are looking for developing their current distribution network in the USA, Canada and subsequently in Central and Southern America. We support our customers in their project and pursue of excellence ; therefore, we are recruiting an :
Export Area  Manager - Americas W/M
Based in Canada or East Coast USA – permanent contract


You report to the Export Director and have regular contacts with the General Manager, Sales, Marketing, Winemaking, Logistics and Finance departments. As a field specialist, you aim at developing sales in Northern and then Southern America so as to achieve the ambitious goals set. You manage and boost the existing distribution and client portfolio. As an ambassador, you maintain the image of your 3 brands at their highest level and reflect their up-market position.
Your main responsabilities are as follows :
To support the existing importers, agents and distributors networks (work withes, wine education, tastings, account visits, dinners, exhibitions, wine shows)
To develop sales in ON Trade and selective OFF Trade channels (high end hotels and restaurants, premium wine shops, travel retails, duty free…)
To develop robust management processes that facilitate the monitoring and control of volume, revenue and profitability for the markets.
To maintain an in-depth and thorough knowledge of marketplace and market conditions.
To monitor competitor activities in the market.
To manage pricing through multiple channels.
To accompany sales force and customers to sales, tastings, or training visits, locally or to the headquarters in Reims - if needed.

You have an higher business graduation (Sales or Marketing Master's Degree), and a 5-year+ experience in a similar field with an emphasis on sales and sales management preferably in a supplier/ distributor position. You are renowned for your excellent interpersonal relations, presence and leadership ability with all levels of organization. You have an entrepreneurial attitude, strong business acumen and communication skills. You must be a self-starter with a can-do attitude. You have a relevant Champagne/Wine products knowledge. Fluent English is required and ability to share information (oral and/or written) in French for this position. A third language as Spanish would be a plus. Extensive international travel is involved.
